Know the range before you apply.
Ballpark puts an estimated pay range on every LinkedIn job listing. Hover to see how it got there.
Free and open source. Runs in your browser. Never claims to know anyone's actual pay.
Illustrative roles and figures
See it on LinkedIn.
The pay badge appears inline as you scroll. The estimate card opens when you hover.
Two things on the page.
Glance at the badge, open the card when a role is worth a closer look.
How it estimates.
Every number comes from the listing in front of you and a set of market bands that ship with the extension.
- Reads the listing
Title, company and location, taken from the job card on screen.
- Works out the level
Seniority from the title, plus the employer’s tier and the local market.
- Applies a band
Maps that combination to a market range in local currency, with the pay basis labelled.
- Shows its working
A range, a signal strength, and the inputs it used, so you can judge it.
An estimate, and it says so.
Ballpark gives you a reasonable starting point for a conversation about pay. It isn’t salary data, and it never shows what a specific person earns.
Signal strength tells you how complete the listing was, not how accurate the number is. A strong signal on an unusual role can still be off.
- Runs locallyNo server, no account, no tracking. Your browsing stays in your browser.
- Labels the pay basisCTC in India, tax-free in the UAE, and a note when stock is likely part of the package.
- Learns from youAnswer “Was this close?” and Ballpark keeps a private hit rate on your device.
- Points to real numbersEvery card links out to salary sources so you can check it.
